Step 1: Is your business eligible for EnviroStars certification?
To be eligible, you must operate a business that typically generates hazardous wastes, be located in participating counties, and agree to participate in a periodic renewal process.
Step 2: Complete an EnviroStars application worksheet.
Step 3: Contact your EnviroStars representative to schedule a free, on-site consultation.
Step 4: Complete tasks agreed on in the visit, to ensure you meet all qualification criteria.
Once we verify that you meet the qualification criteria, we use the on-site consultation visit and your worksheet to determine a star rating, from 2- to 5-Stars. Within a few short weeks, you will receive a new member packet in the mail and start reaping the rewards of EnviroStars certification! Including access to the EnviroStars Members Only page.
Certification and Ratings
Businesses certified by EnviroStars are given a 2- to 5-Star rating based on their demonstrated commitment to reducing hazardous materials and wastes, and implementing environmentally beneficial practices. The higher the star rating, the more proactive the business has been, and the more recognition they receive.
