EnviroStars Certification Process

In order to become an EnviroStars certified business, you must meet certain program requirements, set specific goals to reduce hazardous waste for the year, fill out an application form, and receive a visit from an EnviroStars representative.

How To Get Started

  • Schedule a free, educational on-site consultation with your county contact. This informative visit from an EnviroStars consultant will help you identify ways in which your business can reduce hazardous waste.
  • Fill out the EnviroStars application/worksheet.

Program Requirements
To be eligible for the EnviroStars program, you must meet the following requirements:

  • You are located in a participating county
  • You do not generate large quantities of hazardous waste.
  • You set a goal to reduce hazardous waste for the year.
  • You fill out an EnviroStars application/worksheet that details your waste reduction goals and efforts.
  • You receive a visit from an EnviroStars representative who will verify your waste is properly managed, and suggest improvements.
